Large Restoration Project at City Hall
A mishap occurred resulting in a fire that caused damage to the over 100-year-old city hall. Though the fire damage was limited, the resulting water damage was severe. The fire-suppressant sprinkler system kicked in, but unfortunately, it dispersed water for over two hours. The Fire Department added to the excessive water total while fighting the fire, over 20,000 gallons of water caused flooding throughout the building. Though the fire damage was limited to parts of the 4th floor and the attic, there was severe and wide-spread water damage to all four floors of City Hall including the basement. We assisted and exercised emergency relocation services, document drying, data recovery, contents removal, cleaning and most importantly, historic reconstruction and restoration. There's never a convenient time for fire or water damage to strike your public building, business or home. If an emergency situation arises in Saginaw, Shields or your city, SERVPRO is here to help you.
